A Week In Their Kitchen is an annual event in which Calgarians of all ages, backgrounds and professions come together and each live off a Calgary Food Bank hamper for one week. This year’s Week In Their Kitchen starts on May 30 and will wrap up on June 5, 2011. This blog is a forum for the participating individuals to share their experiences while living off the hamper, and a place to generate conversation about what it truly means to survive off an emergency food hamper – even if only for one week. Explore this site to learn more about the contributing authors, discover some of their unique recipes using the contents of their hampers, get educated about the Calgary Food Bank and the role of Food Banks in the community, and more!
